Floatmaster, Inc. is incorporated in the state of Texas and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. As a sister company of Thrustmaster of Texas, Inc., a globally recognized designer and manufacturer of marine propulsion systems, Floatmaster has been at the forefront of the industry for 40 years. Together, Floatmaster and Thrustmaster of Texas have specialized in designing and manufacturing heavy steel equipment tailored for inland marine and offshore customers around the globe.
Floatmaster has developed significant expertise in the design and manufacture of steel modular barge sections. These innovative systems, including barges, causeways, and bridges, are constructed from interlocking welded steel sections, which are assembled at the job site. The individual barge sections are built as robust standard units, allowing for easy transportation using standard truck and trailer combinations without requiring special permit loads. The sections come in five feet and seven feet deep blocks, with dimensions of 40 x 10 and 20 x 10 feet. Additionally, Floatmaster provides rake sections, loading ramp sections, and a myriad of accessories to facilitate the assembly of very capable workboats.
Furthermore, Floatmaster offers an extensive range of accessories for the barge sections, including mooring winches, fairleads, steerable propulsion units, spuds, spud wells, elevating legs, bitts, chocks, cleats, bollards, and fenders.
